There's a reason Easter chocolate tastes so good. And there's a reason dancing feels so good. They're actually doing something similar — and this Sunday in Dublin, you can have both.

First, the science. Don't worry, it's the fun kind.

Why Chocolate Hits So Good

That first square of Easter chocolate isn't just delicious. It's chemistry.

Chocolate triggers the release of dopamine, your brain's pleasure and reward chemical. It also produces a mild, warm euphoria. There's a reason we reach for it when we want to feel good. It works.

Why Dancing Hits Even Better

Here's where it gets interesting.

Dancing triggers the same dopamine system — but slower, more sustained. Add electronic music with rhythm and build, and your brain also releases endorphins — that floaty, glowing feeling you get after a brilliant night out.

The difference? No crash. No slump. Just a long clean high that carries you home still smiling.

Moving in rhythm with other people amplifies it further. There's something that happens in a room when everyone is moving together. Lighter. More present. More alive.

Why We Started This

We founded DanceSpace in 2025 for one simple reason — we love to dance, but we can't always muster the energy for late nights anymore.

We wanted that late night dancefloor energy. That feeling when the music is right and the room is alive and your whole body just goes with it. But we also wanted to be home for dinner. In bed by ten. And glowing on Monday morning.

Turns out we weren't the only ones.

This Easter Sunday is our 7th event — and every single one has felt special. But this one feels a little different. A little more celebratory. A little more spiritual, even. Easter Sunday on a dancefloor, with chocolate and good people and music that moves you. There's something in that.

Our Electronic Dance Immersion — Espresso Rave — is two hours of high-energy electronic music downstairs in Wigwam, Dublin. No alcohol. No comedown. Coffee and cake served upstairs. Home in time for Sunday dinner. In bed by ten. Go and glow on Monday morning.
